Lowland Deserts: These dry biomes receive very little rainfall, they have extreme temperature changes, and very poor soils. The plants and animals that live in these biomes have made unique adaptations in order to survive the harsh desert climate.
Tropical Rainforests: Rain forests are Populus's most biologically diverse ecosystem. They contain more plant and animal species than any other biome on Populus. They receive very large amounts of rainfall and their temperature remains warm year round. The thin soils tend to be very rich due to the high amounts of decomposing matter.
Grasslands: The grasslands of Populus receive an average amount of rainfall and the temperature is moderate year round. The soils are fair and a wide variety of plants have adapted to grow in them. The animals of the grasslands enjoy the wide variety of plant life that is to be found in this biome.
