Water Animals

The water animals, like the water plants, evolved from the zule organism.  The three water animals in this page are the zulemas, the Striped, and the Drifters.

The Zulemas in the Shallow Rocky Shore

Although zulemas look a lot like the original evolved water animal, but they are actually different animals.  The zulemas are similar to our sea ray animals on Earth.  They inhabit the shallow waters of the planet Kronos.  They thrive on the warmer temperatures of Kronos' seas.  This is why being in the shallow ends of the ocean is so important to their survival.  Like Earth's crabs, the zulemas need to hold fast onto the rocks on the shallow ends of the ocean.  Zulemas tend to prefer water depths of 10-16 inches.

They feed on microbes and protistas by using their thin body as a filter.  Through these filters, water seeps through and the zulemas are able to take nourishment on any microbes and protistas that might be in the water.  The filters are soft and the passages are lined with special receptacles to trap any food particles that might be passing through.

The Striped in the Open Ocean

The open ocean provided the striped, fish like animal, with a wonderful opportunity to flourish.  They thrive on cold water and feed on the same organisms that the zulemas do: microbes and protistas.

  The Drifters in the Estuary

The drifters appeared on the Estuary of the Kronos planet.  They are drifters due to their traveling ability.  Since the waters of the Estuary are violent, the drifters adapted by developing very strong swimming abilities.  They seem to resemble Earth’s mice in that they seem to have strong limbs which they use to swim.

The hysus were the first unicellular organisms on Kronos.  They gave way to the nemory.  From the nemory we got three coexisting species: the microbea, the zule, and the protista.  Zulemas, Drifters, and Striped in turn, are direct descendents of the zule organisms.
