Water Plants

The evolution of plants in the planet of Kronos' resembles Earth's in many different ways.  It began in the ocean with a single cell the Hysus.  That single cell adapted to the richness of Kronos' vast oceans.  It then evolved into a simple multi-cellular organism and then into a more complex organism.  That complex organism was the Zule, all three of the plants in this page are direct descendants of the Zule.

The Rocky Sea Shores

Greenies

The rocky sea shores provided a great environment for the Greenies.  These plants evolved to deal with Kronos' turbulent seashore by developing roots.  These plants are exposed to Kronos' sun Surome.  Like Earth's plants, the Greenies found a way to take advantage of that exposure and make their own food.

The Estuary

Pricklies

The Pricklies adapted to the violent waters of the estuary, where the rivers of Kronos meet the oceans of Kronos.  It achieved such a feat by creating very strong and long roots which dug into the Estuary's floor.

The Deep Open Ocean

Floaters

The Floaters came into existence in Kronos' deep ocean.  This is why they are the ones that most resemble the parent plant.  All plants, including those found in the middle of the ocean, need their original source of energy to produce their own nutrients.  Floaters had to find a way to reach the surface of the ocean waters in order to get some of Surome's energy.  The way Floaters achieved this was by floating!
