The Two-Legged Land Eel is widespread along Qui's vast coastlines. Though it eats plants, it is actually an evolutionary descendant of the slender carnivorous eels roaming the Stalk Discus forests just offshore. A powerful and adept swimmer, the Two-Legged Eel has two short front legs, with which it hauls itself out onto the shore. It grazes on the near-shore plants such as the Branching Discus, as well as on the Windflowers and Filter Plants which occupy the Tropical Zone. The Two-Legged Eel is the primary food source for the Legless Land Eel, its evolutionary cousin. Though most live and graze close to the ocean, venturing only about 200 meters inland, a few subspecies have adapted to an exclusively land-based life throughout Qui's Tropical climate zones.
