Weather

A Verticle Axis
Corona is on a vertical axis.  Therefore, the climate on Corona remains basically stable the year round.  Although, it has its hot humid zones at and near the equator, there are frigid zones at and near the poles.

The Atmosphere
Similar to earth, there are four layers of atmosphere on Corona.  The trophosphere, statosphere, mesophere, and thermosphere.  The trophosphere is the layer which gives Corona its weather.  It contains soot particles, dust, polen, and water vapor.  Near the top of the atmosphere the temperature is about 70 degrees below zero, and water vapor becomes ice and it forms a cold trap beyond which water can not escape.  This prevents Corona from loosing all of its water into space.

The Environment
Water evaporates from all moist matter, the ground, leaves, the breath of animals, puddles, lakes, rivers and  oceans.  The massive amount of evaporation helps to keeps the environment lush and green on Corona's main bodies of land.  Therefore the empact of erosion is minimal because of the dense vegetation.  The annual rainfall is approximately 80 inches.

The dense gray nimbostratus clouds are frequent visitors over the forested areas on Corona.   "Nimbo" in the word means rain.   The water evaporates and condenses to form clouds which contains tiny droplets of water or ice crystals.   The clouds release their contents in the form of rain, snow, or fog at ground level. The pattern repeats and forms the water cycle.

There are three rain forests on Corona, one on each of the continents along the equator and they cover the west one-fourth to one-third of the land.  As the air comes in from the ocean on the west and rises up landward, it carries moisture with it until it rises to a point where the air cools, the water condenses, and it is released in the form of rain.

The Continents
The continents along the equator are Soleyi, Na'im, and Kapei.  The temperature varies from about 65 degrees at night to about 110 during the day.  There are large deserts on each continent at the equator which cover the middle portion of land that lies between the east and west coast.  It is hotter at the equator and it tends to cool in either direction going both north and south.

The continents near the south pole are Yram and Yorel.  The temperature on these continents ranges from 20 degrees at night to 50 degrees during the day.  There is very little rain on Yram or Yorel.  It most often snows when ever there is a storm system.
