Chapter4: Microbiology: unicellular life/processes
Krypto started forming one billion years ago, in outer space. It was a time when the weather was hot and filled with gases that created a tropical of form life. The gases came from a valcano which erupted periodically during the early mornings and this volcano was called Mount Stang. The volcano eruptions caused the 10% land area to crack and water in the ocean surrounding the planet along with the water beneath the land cooled down the hot temperature.
Then about two thousand years later the temperature from the ocean turned this area into a tropical planet of today. Krypto ocean were filled with minerals from all of the years of volcanic eruptions. During, this time Krypto first life form was created which was the Archaea bacteria found beneath the ocean surface in temperatures well over 100 degrees. Archaea bacteria live in hot springs in extremely alkaline or acid waters, or salt water on other planets that are part of Krypto. Also, Archaea may be the only organism that can live in extreme habitats such as thermal vents or hypersaline water. They may be abundant in environments that are hostile to all other life forms. The following image is a picture of Archaea bacteria formed on Krypto in its final developmental stage.
