Kenny Moore

I was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. I attended elementary, high school and college in New Orleans. At the age of twenty I moved to San Diego, California. While in San Diego, I attended Mesa Junior College. I lived in San Diego for about two years. In March of nineteen seventy two, while living in San Diego, I joined the Marine Corps. I enlisted for two years.

After I was discharged from the Marine Corps, I returned to New Orleans. I attended college at Xavier University. I majored in Medical Technology. In 1977, I decided to move to Los Angeles, California. In Los Angeles, I decided to major in Theater. I began to pursue a career in Theater. In 1984, I moved to New York city. I stayed in New York for four years working in Theater. In 1988, I moved back to Los Angeles, California. In February of 1993, I began teaching.

I work at Markham Middle School. Markham is located in Watts, California. I teach seventh grade science. I have been working at Markham for seven years.

At Calstatela., I am studying Instructional Technology. I want to use my knowledge in my classroom. I want to create lessons for my students to use, on the computers, in my classroom. I think this will benefit all the students in my classroom. Computer lessons will allow me more time with students who have reading problems. Also, students who have grade level reading skills, will be able to move at a faster pace in class.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy watching sports. I also enjoy movies. I was a Theater major in college. I have not worked on stage in ten years but I intend to work on stage again. I also enjoy music. My taste in music varies. At Markham, I play the tuba at all the musical activities.

I think the education of our children is important. Values and morals have become 'unimportant to toady's children'. The children of today do not consider these things to be important. They do not consider an education to be important. Knowledge is the key to success in society today.

I think its important to smile every day. Life is full of all kinds of problems. In order to make it through them, it is important to try to enjoy each moment that we live.
