Lucy Gutierrez

My name is Lucy Gutierrez, I was born and raised in Huntington Park, California. I am the oldest of two girls. I have no brothers, but I always wished I did. I do have a four year old niece whom I adore. I also have two wonderful parents that have supported me and have instilled in me the importance of education.
I have been teaching in the Los Angeles School District for four years. I am
a first grade teacher at San Antonio Elementary in Huntington Park. I love
teaching. I have always wanted to be a teacher. I've always wanted to
do something to make a difference in the lives of children.
I currently attend Cal State Los Angeles. I am working on a master's degree in Education in New Media and Production. I hope to take all the knowledge I've gained into my own classroom.
When I'm not in school or
work I enjoy spending time with my dog, Dexter. I also like collecting different
types of butterfly items.
