Land Plants

Early Plant Life

Pin Cell

After some time water plant cells began to crawl out of the water and started to settle on the land.  One of the these cells was the Pin cell.  It floated out of the water and settled on the shoreline.  Here it fed on nutrients and thrived in the watery mud.  The Pin cell was an asexual cell that replicated itself as it needed.  It contained tiny pockets of chlorophyll that allowed it to photosynthesize and produce oxygen to the land.  The Pin cell was an asexual cell that replicated itself every two months. With such an abundance of Pins, a few began to branch even on land.

Rainforest Plant

Didi

As the Pin cell traveled towards the land, some settled in the plush area of Lujenar's land.  Here the water was plentiful and the soil was rich in nutrients and vitamins needed for the cell to grow.   As time progressed, the Pin cell began to adapt to its new environment and grew out a coil-like stem.  This coil holds water and allows it to distribute water and nutrients to the entire plant.  Hence, the rain forest plant Didi was born.  Didi's thick coil allowed it to grow thick, long and green leaves. Its leaves can measure from 2 to 3 feet in length.  The Didi inhabits the bottom of the rain forest floor and provides tiny animals with shelter and shade.  The Didi plant began to reproduce sexually, however it is not a fruit or flower bearing plant.  Once a year the coil drops its seedlings on the ground and mixes with those plants that are closest to it.  Animals that travel and eat the seeds help with the pollination by taking the seed farther away from the plant.

Desert Plant

Piccus

With the help of traveling animals, a few Didi seeds were able to come into contact with other environments.  Some seeds traveled to the desert land where they had to adapt to a harsh contrast with the rain forest. Water was no longer as plentiful and the soil was hard and dry.  The sun shines all day long and heats up the land.  The Didi was unable to live in this environment, therefore, it had to evolve into a Piccus.  The coil dried up and became thinner in diameter.  The leaves turned into hard thick branches that retained water in the center core of the plant.  The outer skin was rough and thick.  The Piccus is not a flower bearing plant, however, thin, yellow fruit like buds sprout out every three months.  The buds provide animals with food.  When left alone they pop open and spill out seeds onto the land.  This is how the Piccus is able to reproduce itself. The Piccus can grow any where from 3 to 5 feet in height.

Grassland Plant

Oran

Some Piccus seeds traveled towards the grasslands of Lujenar.  Here the water falls more than in the desert and the soil is softer and richer in nutrients.   With these new changes the Piccus was able to evolve once again.  In the grasslands the Piccus evolved into the Oran plant.  This new plant has a thin stem and sleek long leaves. It can grow  up to 2 feet in height and provided animals with camouflage and shelter.  The most unique feature of the Oran plant is that it finally flowered.  Every year the plant sprouts a tiny star shaped orange flower. The flower attracts insects to feed on the pollen.  These insects help the plant with pollination.  The Oran thrives in the grasslands and the flowers emit a sweet smell.
