Our sun Kadesh is a single, yellow, G-type star (close to G5), and is about 94% the mass of the Sun. It is approximately 6.5 billion years old, an old star, which means that it has burned for about half of its stable, main sequence, lifetime. Spectral analysis revealed that hydrogen (H) is the main element, 97%, with 1.9% of helium, and the rest heavier elements. The heavier elements detected in our spectral analysis include nitrogen (N), iron (Fe), and carbon (C). The high content in hydrogen reveals that Kadesh has enough fuel to heat up its solar system. The surface of Kadesh is not solid, but it is a boiling, churning mass of hot gases with temperatures of about 5,600 °K. Kadesh is about 80% the brightness of the Sun and burns fuel more slowly. The table below shows some of the main characteristics of Kadesh |

The solar system of Kadesh is composed of only five planets: Sucoth, Barnia, Jerico, Laga, and Ai. None of the inner planets have any moons. The only planet of the system having three moons is the outer planet Ai. The names of the Moons are: the tiny, almost an asteroid, Goliath, Shinar (very similar to the Jupiter's moon Io), and Siloh. Our research effort was focused primarily on the only life-bearing planet, Laga. Other missions will study the other planets. We have included a brief description of the other planets. By clicking on the linked planet names you will go to the pages containing the planetary data for each of the planets. |
