The food that you are viewing was for the first stages of life on Qukoha. These squiggly plants that look like small microbes themselves fed the Prokaryotes. The Prokaryotes were small single-celled microbes. These microbes had a remarkable ability to evolve and adapt. As they evolved and adapted to their changing surroundings, so did their food to accommodate them.
