Unlike the linear
evolution of a prokaryote to a eukaryote, my involvement with
computers is an aggregate of interdisciplinary interests and experiences.
Concertizing, subsequent to hours at the piano since I was 5 years
old, and earning a master's degree in piano performance from USC
was my passion until I started a family. As my children grew,
my interest in their education grew exponentially and now I find
myself in a 5th grade class at Wilton Place Elementary School
as a trilingual teacher in English, Korean and Spanish.
After slight disenchantment with my second master's degree in
Educational Administration, I happened to get on a fast wheel
(cyberspace), where I am not the driver and without a brake. That
led me to my current predicament of working toward a master's
degree in Instructional Technology at California State University,
and yes, I am at the computer beyond bewitching hour too often.
At the same time, my responsibilities as a science and music chair
and a technology committee member at Wilton Place keep me challenged
and invigorated.
I hope your visit to World Builders enticed you to play
God and create a world yourself. My only warning would be that
it takes more than 6 days and the seventh day arrives many days
later demanding the virtue of "delayed gratification."
Happy creating!
