Sandra Chamberlain-Quiller

You are reading about a native Los Angelina. My parents are natives of the state of Oklahoma. My father's mother was a Cherokee Native American. My heritage is African-American. I graduated from Manual Arts High School in South Central Los Angeles. My continuing education has been on-going since high school graduation.

The first community college that I attended was East Los Angeles College. Then, I continued on as follows: Los Angeles Metropolitan College/Los Angeles Trade-Technical College; Los Angeles City College; Los Angeles Southwest College; and West Los Angeles College. I received my A.S. Degree in Office Administration in 1990 from Los Angeles Southwest College. In 1993 I received my B.S. Degree in Business Education from California State University at Los Angeles. My Single Subject Teaching Credential (Professional Clear) was earned in 1995 from California State University at Los Angeles. Presently, I am working on my masters in education, Instructional Technology. I hope to be completed by the end of the Fall 1996 quarter--after the comp test and my last EDIT CLASS!!!!!!

My first teaching assignment is at Woodrow Wilson High School with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). I am enjoying every moment of it. The students are great; the administration and staff support are excellent; and the principal, Ina Roth is fantastic and out-of- this-world!
