ASTRONOMY

Two Planets

The Nistelian solar system consists of a star (Nisteli), two planets (Oto & Gemini), and Gemini's two moons (While & Nile). Gemini, at 1.5 A.U. or 144,000,000 miles, has a greater radius of orbit from Nisteli than Oto. One revolution of Gemini around Nisteli is equal to one day, about 2.4 Earth years. One side of the planet always faces the sun in a locked orbit. The side facing away from the sun is called the cimmerian side.

Two Moons

Gemini has two large moons. The largest is While which has a nearly circular orbit around the planet. Nile, the smaller moon, has a highly elliptical orbit and the planet resides in one foci of its orbit.

Beautiful Night Sky

While's surface appears red and blue when seen from Gemini. It's crust is saturated with iron and copper ore deposits. The moon's thin oxygen atmosphere oxidizes the metal in these ores giving this colorful display when seen from the cimmerian side of Gemini.

Nisteli

Gemini's sun, Nisteli, is a bright G-Class star. Its mass is approximately 110% of our sun. Each square centimeter of Nisteli's surface radiates about 7000 watts of light which is about 17% brighter than the Earth's sun.

Sister Planet

Nisteli's only other planet is Oto. Its average orbital radius is .83 A.U. or about 80,000,000 miles. Its year is equal to a proximately six months. Too crust is made up of light metals and its core consists of heavy to very heavy metals. With a diameter of about one half of Gemini, its mass is more than twice that of the larger planet.
