World Builders  --  Welcome Page

Rubric for Web Pages

An illustrated draft of this page is due in class in Week 3.
Your page will look something like this.

At the top there will be a picture of your planet in space. NASA web sites have images to help you or you may create your own.

Your welcome line will give the planet's name.

You will write a short paragraph or two on what the planet is like. Think of what a travel brochure might say

.List the members of your team. (Look at the names in blue.) Each name will link to that person's home page. There should also be a link on the individual home page going back to the Welcome Page. Check to see that these work.

Create a Link that goes on to the planet's Table of Contents This is also in blue.

You will also make an identifying icon for your page.

Here is an identifying icon example for you. It should be a
transparent gif so that the background shows through around it.

It should not be any larger than a quarter and may be smaller.
See more samples at the CSULA Planets Page.

The identifying icon is due in class in Week 2.

Grading will be for these qualities:
A  neat, complete, attractive, good written introduction, links work, turned in Week 3.
B complete, links work, turned in Week 4
C  problems: incomplete, links don't work, turned in by Week 5.
